SOLA is a group devoted to fundraising for the ASO. Its major fundraiser is the annual Symphony Ball each spring, generating over $50,000 for the ASO. In addition, SOLA provides volunteers for office assistance and ushers at concerts. SOLA sponsors the annual Mary Graham Lasley Scholarship Competition for college and graduate school music students as well.
SOLA members have lots of fun at attending General Membership meetings, bidding at the Holiday Auction (make, bake or bring an item and then bid on everyone else’s items), and helping out in the ASO office or serving as an ASO usher at the concerts.
