Garden Sounds: Backyard Baroque

Garden Sounds, our annual outdoor event to celebrate and to benefit the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra’s performances and education programs, will premiere its virtual program on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. “Garden Sounds: Backyard Baroque” marks the first time since February 2020 when more than a handful of our ASO musicians have performed together, recorded in mid-May in the lovely gardens of Richard Blackburn.

Handel: Arrival of the Queen of Sheba from Solomon
Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 3
Kolm: Fantasy Ritornello (world premiere)
Handel: Concerto Grosso in C major from Alexander’s Feast

By purchasing a premiere ticket, you’ll receive exclusive access to the YouTube video link of the concert as well as a link to attend our Garden Sounds live auction, immediately following the premiere on Zoom. You can also opt to order wine and charcuterie from Grape + Bean Rosemont, specially curated and delivered to your door on the day of the event. Raise a glass, enjoy the show and support the symphony!
