Garden Sounds: Backyard Baroque

Garden Sounds, our annual outdoor event to celebrate and to benefit the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra’s performances and education programs, premiered its virtual program on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. “Garden Sounds: Backyard Baroque” marks the first time since February 2020 when more than a handful of our ASO musicians have performed together, recorded in mid-May in the lovely gardens of Richard Blackburn.

Handel: Arrival of the Queen of Sheba from Solomon
Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 3
Kolm: Fantasy Ritornello (world premiere)
Handel: Concerto Grosso in C major from Alexander’s Feast
