The winner of the 2014 Kluge Young Composer will be selected by Maestro Kluge to receive a $1500 prize. Following mentoring sessions with Maestro Kluge, the winning composition will receive its premiere with the ASO, with the date of the premiere being determined after the winner is announced. Additional performances by Virginia youth orchestras throughout the state will also be encouraged, and the composition will be made accessible to them at the discretion of the winner.
