More Than Just Education
Central to the ASO’s existence is year-round education and community outreach programs. From bringing world-renowned musicians into local schools to an annual collegiate scholarship competition – the ASO takes great pride in working with local educators and having so many of our musicians interested in educating the next generation of musicians and concert-goers.

LASLEY SCHOLARSHIP
A collegiate competition with cash prizes awarded, this annual competition is for students who either live in the Washington, D.C. region or currently attend college in the area.

ASO Sympatico was born out of a commitment to education, the youth of Alexandria, and social justice.
